Promises for grief
Scripture does not rush the grieving. It records long laments, and then speaks promises into them. None of these promises says the loss does not matter. They say God is near in it.

The promise is nearness, not explanation. God draws close specifically to the brokenhearted, and the verb is 'saves'.

The comfort is future and certain: they shall be comforted. Jesus calls mourning blessed, which is not how the world counts it.

This promise belongs to the end. Tears are not wiped away now; they will be. Until then Scripture asks believers to grieve with hope rather than without it (1 Thessalonians 4:13).
