Loading Revelation 21:3-4

The centre of the promise is not the absence of pain but the presence of God. Everything else in the passage follows from that one fact: God dwelling with His people. Heaven in Scripture is finally a renewed creation where God lives with us, not an escape from bodies and earth.

A prayer from this passage

Father, You promise to dwell with Your people and to wipe every tear away. Let that hope steady me now. Keep my heart set on being with You rather than merely on being comfortable.

Key truth

The hope of heaven is God dwelling with His people in a renewed creation where death is finally undone.
