Called to speak for God to a people who did not always want to hear it.
Built on Amos 3:7-8. The Lord does nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets, and when He speaks, the prophet cannot but speak. This is the office the whole week studies.
Seven days on one page. Every week's board and its full study are free to read, with no account needed, including the weeks already behind us. Each week the study changes and the shape of the week stays the same, so you always know where you are.

Day 1
A Shepherd Sent to Speak
Today's verse
Loading Amos 7:14-15…
Today's focus
Amaziah, a priest at Bethel, tries to send Amos back to Judah, treating prophecy as a paid trade Amos should practice elsewhere. Amos answers by describing exactly what he was before the call: a herdsman, not a professional.
The call itself is the only credential Amos offers. Yahweh took him from the flock and told him to go, and that command outweighs any objection about his training or his origin.
Today's reminder
God's call does not require prior credentials.
Speaking God's word can provoke resistance from those in power.
Obedience to the call matters more than comfort in the role.
Today's prayer
Lord, You call whom You choose, not only those already prepared by title. If You have given me something true to say, give me Amos's plainness in saying it. Amen.
