Quiet Faithfulness in an Ordinary Week
"Aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands."
1 Thessalonians 4:11

Paul's ambition for the Thessalonians is strikingly small: a quiet life, honest work, minded business. It reads like an anticlimax until you try to live it for a year.

Faithfulness is cumulative

Character is not built in decisions but in repetitions. The same is true of drift; nobody wanders far in a day.

Choose one repeatable practice this week instead of three aspirational ones.

Ordinary work as worship

Colossians 3:23 collapses the distance between vocation and devotion. The work does not need to be religious to be offered.
