No More Death or Pain
Healing finds its full end where sickness has no more place.

Deeper insight
What the passage says in its own setting
This verse follows the description of God dwelling with His people in Revelation 21:3, He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, tying the end of suffering to the presence of God rather than to an impersonal fix.
The phrase the first things have passed away signals that what is coming is not a return to an earlier state but something new, described further in verse 5 as making all things new.
