Evangelism

Good news is meant to be told, and Scripture shows how it travels.

Built on . Paul's chain of questions: how shall they call on him, how shall they believe, how shall they hear, how shall they hear without a preacher. Evangelism is the answer at every link.

Seven days on one page. Every week's board and its full study are free to read, with no account needed, including the weeks already behind us. Each week the study changes and the shape of the week stays the same, so you always know where you are.

  • Day 1

    Go and Make Disciples

    Today's verse

    Loading Matthew 28:19-20

    Today's focus

The command is given to a small group on a mountain in Galilee, some of whom, verse 17 says, still doubted. Jesus does not wait for their doubts to resolve before sending them.

Making disciples is defined here as more than converting people: it includes baptizing and teaching them to observe everything Christ commanded. Evangelism in the Bible is the front end of a longer process, not an isolated event.

    Today's reminder

    • The command was given to doubters, not only to the confident.
    • Disciple-making includes teaching, not just an initial decision.
    • His promised presence covers the whole task, to the end of the age.

    Today's prayer

Lord Jesus, You sent ordinary and doubting people with this command, and You promised to be with them. Send me with the same confidence, not in myself but in Your presence. Amen.
