Week 1 of 52
New Beginnings
God begins things. The whole Bible opens with Him doing it.
Built on Isaiah 43:18-21. Isaiah speaks to people whose past is a ruin and tells them to watch for a road through the desert. The week starts where Scripture starts a new thing: with God acting first.
The Bible does not begin with human effort. It begins with God speaking into a place where nothing was, and it ends with Him saying that He makes all things new. Everything between those two sentences is the story of a God who starts things His people could not start.
So week one is not about turning over a new leaf. It is about learning to look for what God is already doing, and to walk into it. Seven days, seven passages, one truth taken from seven angles: rest, trust, faith, strength, gratitude, worship, and the new thing itself.
