52 Week Journey

Week 13 of 52

The Resurrection

Because he lives, everything he said and did stands vindicated.

Built on . Paul's full argument for the resurrection: its evidence, its necessity, and what it changes for everyone joined to Christ by faith.

The resurrection is not a decoration on the Christian message. Paul says plainly that if Christ has not been raised, preaching is empty, faith is empty, and believers are still in their sins. Everything the gospel promises rests on an empty tomb and a living Christ, not a moving story about a good man who died well.

This week reads the resurrection accounts and their aftermath as history first, not merely inspiration. The Gospels give named witnesses, specific days, and physical detail: a stone rolled away, grave clothes left in order, hands and feet that could be touched, fish eaten on a shore. From there the week follows the resurrection into what it guarantees for those who trust him: justification, a living hope, a coming bodily resurrection, and a Lord before whom every knee will bow.
