One body, many members, built on Christ and gathered for His purposes.
Built on 1 Corinthians 12. Paul's extended picture of the church as one body with many members, none dispensable and none self-sufficient.

Day 1
I Will Build My Church
Today's verse
Loading Matthew 16:18…
Today's focus
Jesus speaks these words right after Peter confesses him as the Christ, the Son of the living God. The church is founded on that confession, and Jesus states plainly that building it is his own work: I will build.
The promise that follows is not that the church will be comfortable but that it will not be overcome. Gates belong to a city under siege from within; the image is of the church advancing against death itself, not merely surviving attack.
Today's reminder
The church rests on who Jesus is, confessed plainly.
Christ is the builder; believers are the material and the workforce, never the architect.
The church's survival is promised, not its ease.
Today's prayer
Lord Jesus, You are building Your church, not I. Let my confession of who You are be as plain as Peter's, and let me trust You with what You are building through me. Amen.
