Forgiveness
Forgiven people become forgiving people.

David does not ask whether God will forgive as though it were uncertain. He states it as a settled trait: good, and ready to forgive. The willingness comes before the request is even made.
This matters because so much of our hesitation to ask forgiveness assumes reluctance in God that Scripture never describes. The psalm places forgiveness alongside abundant lovingkindness, not alongside grudging permission.
- God's readiness to forgive precedes your asking.
- Forgiveness is described as part of His goodness, not an exception to it.
- Calling on Him is the only condition named here.
Lord, You are good and ready to forgive. I bring what I have been afraid to bring, trusting Your lovingkindness more than my own shame. Amen.
