Friendship and Fellowship
Scripture treats companionship as a need, not a luxury.

The Bible begins with God saying it is not good for man to be alone, before sin has entered the world at all. Companionship is built into creation, not added as a remedy for the fall. From there, Scripture is full of friendships: Ruth and Naomi, David and Jonathan, Jesus and His disciples, Paul and his fellow workers.
This week looks at what makes a friendship biblical rather than merely comfortable: honesty that can wound, loyalty that costs something, and fellowship that is deeper than shared interest. It ends with the friendship Jesus offers His disciples, which reframes every other friendship in the light of His own.
